Big Business

PhotobucketPhotobucketAbsolutely hilarious farce about a set of twins who are mixed up at birth. One set is raised in wealthy NYC, the other on a poor southern farm. Well-written comedy of errors is consistently quick and witty throughout its brief 97 min running time. Lily Tomlin and Bette Midler work surprisingly well together under Jim “Airplane!” Abrahams’ skillful direction.

  1. Who would have thought I’d wind up loving a film that stars Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin(?!), to say nothing of the fact that the male lead is plain old Fred Ward (who happens to be perfect in the part)? It just goes to show that the MOST important thing in making movies is the writing. One of the cleverest scripts ever.
