Zombieland

PhotobucketPhotobucketAmusing zombie comedy about a mistrusting group that joins forces against the undead in their quest to survive after the apocalypse. The humor is of the pop culture variety, and it treads much of the same territory as Shaun of the Dead, with the same self-aware modern horror film mentality. Although not as inspired as that classic, it still manages to entertain.

  1. I love movies like this! Comedy + Horror = Awesome
I am a fan of the fast moving zombie, even if in the zombie community they’re technically not really zombies , but infected humans. I enjoy the adrenalin rush, of an infected, chasing our heroes at heart pounding speed. Zombie or no aside, I really enjoyed the performances by our small (living) cast and the basic set up of the movie. I liked the quick flashbacks, the almost comic book feel the animated lists and narration gave and most of all I liked the super cool cameo (I’ll let you watch and see – if you haven’t already). Also, I don’t really like Twinkies, but I was craving them by the end.

    1. I agree. This film has some amusing touches. The list of rules Columbus comes up with for surviving in the zombie-infested world for example. Also I liked how the characters do not use each others’ real names but rather the place (Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, Little Rock) that relates to them. Even Columbus’s neighbor, 406, was named after her room.
