After their flight is canceled, a happily unmarried couple is forced to spend Christmas with each of their four parents, all in one day. Mayhem ensues. The story has some humorous moments here and there, but this material is way below the best work of actors Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, Jon Voight and Mary Steenburgen who play the respective parents. Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are a funny couple, however, and they make the most of the episodic script. Enough laughs to make this a mildly diverting holiday movie.

wow dude….you gave this a higher rating than PASSING STRANGE
True, this movie didn’t aim very high, but I still found it more entertaining. Passing Strange was very self conscious, a bit pretentious for me.
oh…I can dig that :o) personal preference.
I just recently started browsing this here Kael-esque review site you run- so I’m new to your style. Is it more of an opinion column or critical analysis kinda thing?
I’d say a bit of both, but more opinion.
