An epic adventure, part 3 of the landmark animated series explores what happens when Woody, Buzz and the rest of the toys are accidentally shipped to a day care center after Andy leaves for college. Part buoyant comedy, part jail break action adventure, and part deep emotional drama. The sadness caused when people move on, is explored with depth and soul. A stunning exploration of friendship and love and how we can unknowingly hurt the ones we love. Rarely has a film, let alone a cartoon, explored an existential crisis so effectively. But this film has a lot of warmth too. The camaraderie of this group of toys is so touching and close, you’ll wish you were one of them. Cowboy pull-string toy Woody is more lovable than ever. He’s the glue that holds them all together. As the film nears its conclusion, there is one emotional climax after another. If you are not affected, perhaps you should check your pulse.

Wow. Didn’t expect TS3 to be so overwhelmingly good. Guess I’ll have to watch it soon.
These writers are genius. How amazing it was to become emotionally involved with TOYS, yes, TOYS. I enjoyed this movie so much.
It was good, but at times it seems that the characters get in the similar trouble and mischief (in all three films).
After reading your review I can’t wait to see Toy Story 3. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of script in the first two. You have wetted my appetite with your comment about the psycological depths of the third in the series.
As a mother of grown children, I know something about changing relationships and the complexity of being proud of a dear ones growth and independence but also the pain of no longer holding a necessary role. Moving on possesses many conflicting censations.
After reading your review of Toy Story 3, I can’t wait to see it. I’ve been very impressed with the scripts of the first two in the series and am hopeful about this new one. The psycological depths of changing relationships you imply in Toy Story 3 sounds intriguing. As a mother of grown children I know something about changing relationships and the difficulty of moving from being needed to being nonessential. It doesn’t have to mean the dissolution of all relationshiip, but it does mean developing a brand new one. I look forward to seeing the topic dealt with using toys and animation.
it was as great as you said, they really took time to show they care about these characters and end things the way we want to see them – so much thought and love given to make this the best third film in any series ever. the “Day and Night” cartoon at the beginning was also one of the best ever.
