The group a large conversation over whether or not this Queen/Freddie Mercury biopic does proper justice to the legendary rock group. 1. Nice podcast. i agree with your take on the main review. the positives outweigh the negative. in fact I didn’t think about the negatives after the movie. the experience was very enjoyable. i expected a movie about the formation of Queen and the creation of their songs. and that’s what it was. and Malek is a unique and captivating screen presence. he really elevated the movie.

    • Exactly! We’re not alone. Granted the critics have been less kind, but the movie is a huge hit all over the world. $300M and counting…

      • I mean the movie is not perfect and some critics may have fair reasons against it. one particular part I didn’t favor was Freddie Mercury standing in the rain and firing his partner. that seemed to be a little too theatrical. But there were many nice scenes. How Freddie met his bandmates, all the recording at the studios, the concerts, and the lead performance was consistently fascinating. It’s a solid 3-star movie I thought.
