You really got Martin into it by invoking the Christmas angle! I think he had more opinions to offer than you did. I like the fact that he remembers old films like Shop Around the Corner, which, like you, I didn’t think of as a Christmas movie but, on reflection, it is, more in fact than It’s a Wonderful Life. By the way there was a musical remake of “Shop” called The Good Old Summertime with Van Johnson and Judy Garland
Lots of fun to hear Martin get so involved. He’s obviously not a fan of Love Actually.
By the way, after a drought in email notifications I got one for this and for the subsequent Hedgehog.
